Storm Damage Restoration in West Palm Beach, FL

One Storm. One Claim. One Deductible. Full Exterior Restored.

Palm Beach County Storms Move Fast. Your Claim Window Does Too.

West Palm Beach sits squarely in the Atlantic hurricane belt — peak season runs June through November, with Palm Beach County averaging 2-4 named storm events annually plus the daily-rain wind gusts that lift shingles over time. Florida statute (§ 627.70132) sets the residential storm-claim filing window at 1 year from the date of loss on policies issued or renewed after January 1, 2023 — and 18 months for supplemental claims. That's tight. We document hurricane, tropical storm, wind, and hail damage in a single on-roof inspection: close-up photos of every impact, measured square footage of damaged shingles or tile, soft-metal damage corroboration, and a line-item written scope your carrier can read. You file the claim yourself — we do not adjust, negotiate, or accept an assignment of benefits (Fla. Stat. § 627.7152 prohibits AOB on residential policies issued after January 2023; Fla. Stat. § 489.147 prohibits absorbing your deductible — both are felonies if a contractor offers them). Florida License CCC #1337163, Qualifier Tyler Tonarella. WPB office at 2771 Vista Pkwy Ste. F6.

Storms Don't Damage One Thing At A Time.

A hail event hits the roof, the siding, the gutters, the window screens, and often the AC unit. A wind event rips shingles, tears fascia, and bends gutters. Filing three separate claims for three separate contractors means three separate deductibles and three separate headaches. We file one comprehensive claim and restore the full exterior under one scope. One deductible, one schedule, one point of contact. Call (443) 895-0373 to walk the full exterior with us.

When does the Florida hurricane claim window actually close?

Florida statute § 627.70132 caps residential storm claims at 1 year from the date of loss on policies issued or renewed after January 1, 2023. Supplemental claims (reopening an existing claim) have 18 months. Earlier policies follow different rules — check your declarations page. Either way, file as soon as possible. The longer the gap between storm date and claim filing, the more the carrier can argue the damage worsened from neglect rather than the storm event itself.

Why won't you accept an assignment of benefits?

Florida Statute § 627.7152 (SB 2-A, effective January 1, 2023) prohibits assignment of benefits on residential property insurance policies issued or renewed after that date. Any Florida contractor who accepts an AOB on a post-2023 residential policy is violating state law. We don't. The claim stays in your name, the carrier pays you, you pay us for the approved scope of repair work.

Does WPB get enough hail to support a claim, or is it mostly wind damage?

Both. WPB averages a few damaging hail events per year — usually associated with severe thunderstorm cells off the Gulf or strong tropical-system bands rolling in from the Atlantic. Hail damage in Florida is real and claim-qualifying when documented. Wind damage (sustained or gust) is the more common claim category in WPB, but we inspect for and document both in a single visit so the claim scope reflects everything that happened, not just the obvious damage.
Storm Claim Window

Florida Caps Storm Claims at 1 Year. The Clock Started The Day The Storm Hit.

Post-2022 Florida policies cap new storm claims at 1 year from the date of loss (18 months for supplements on existing claims). Hail bruising and lifted shingles let water into the underlayment for months before you ever see a ceiling stain. By the time the leak shows, your filing window is often closing, and the carrier reclassifies the damage as wear-and-tear, which is not covered. A free inspection now is the difference between a claim-funded replacement and an out-of-pocket rebuild later.
